Job Description

My Client are a leading Engineering Consultancy who are seeking a BIM Technician (MEP) to work within a busy team providing models and clash detection reports on various project types including but not limited to Data Centre, Healthcare & Commercial developments.
For the successful BIM Technician this is a permanent role that offers long-term opportunities for career development in the areas of 3D Modelling, BIM and Information Management.

Responsibilities:

• Production of MEP 3D models using Revit and other BIM software and some AutoCAD drawings. (Limited to legacy projects)
• Production of detailed MEP G.A. drawings, plans and sections.
• Working alongside MEP Engineers and completing mark-ups.
• Coordination of design work with in-house staff as well as other design professionals.
• Ability to work under pressure, balance priorities, and meet strict deadlines.
• Taking responsibility for checking own work and that produced by others, including external consultants, sub-consultants and contractors
• Carry out clash detections, prepare reports and possible solutions for resolving clashes
• Assess internal & incoming models for adherence to the project BEP, identify changes in the models for the team
• Support VDR’s (drive models / taking notes / drive implementation of actions specific to disciplines)
• Contribute to project specific BIM Data Reviews

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years’ experience in Revit MEP or similar BIM software.
• Minimum NFQ Level 6 qualification.
• An Autodesk Certified Qualification in Revit would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD 3D, Revit MEP & Navisworks essential.
• Experience in clash detections and construction sequencing.
• Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and be capable of building strong working relationships.
• Presentation skills, attention to detail and organizational skills.
