Job Description

We are currently partnered with a well-known consulting engineering firm seeking an experienced CAD Civil Designer to join their team in their Mississauga office. To be successful in this position you will apply your technical expertise to prepare design and contract drawings, cross-sections, schedules, and quantity estimates for municipal infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:

• Develop preliminary and detailed designs for municipal infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, CAD staff, and other team members to coordinate project drawings.
• Ensure that project requirements are met efficiently and effectively.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff within the division.

Qualifications:

• Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) or Civil Technician with at least 5 years of relevant experience in a design office in Ontario.
• Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Word, Excel, and MS Project.
• Experience with Microstation and InRoads would be preferable.
• Knowledge of municipal and regional design and drafting standards.
• Strong background in both preliminary and detailed design for municipal infrastructure projects.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities.
