Job Title: Civil Operations Manager
Location: Langley
Reports To: President
Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced Civil Operations Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of civil construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, in-depth industry knowledge, and the ability to drive operational efficiency while ensuring safety, quality, and profitability.

 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee civil construction projects from initiation to completion.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to meet project deadlines and financial targets.
  • Supervise and support site managers, project engineers, and field staff.
  • Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with construction operations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring cost-effective procurement of materials and equipment.
  • Implement quality control procedures to ensure high standards of workmanship.
  • Prepare and present operational reports, progress updates, and financial summaries to senior management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the operations team.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Proven experience managing budgets, schedules, and personnel in civil projects.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
