Position Overview: As a Civil Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing site preparation and ground improvement projects.
 
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in excavation and shoring projects, demonstrating both technical expertise and effective project management skills.
 
This role is a mix of office and site-based responsibilities, requiring a hands-on approach to ensure the successful execution of projects.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Planning and Execution:
    • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
    • Oversee the execution of site preparation and ground improvement projects, ensuring adherence to specifications and safety standards.
  2. Team Leadership:
    • Lead and inspire project teams, including site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors, to achieve project goals.
    • Foster a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment.
  3. Client Communication:
    • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular project updates and addressing any concerns or changes.
    • Ensure client satisfaction by delivering projects on time and within budget.
  4. Cost Management:
    • Monitor project budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality and safety.
  5. Risk Management:
    • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
    • Proactively address challenges that may arise during the project lifecycle.
  6. Quality Assurance:
    • Implement and maintain quality control processes to meet or exceed project specifications.
    • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  7. Site and Office Coordination:
    • Balance responsibilities between office-based project planning and site-based supervision, ensuring seamless coordination between both environments.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil construction, with a focus on excavation and shoring projects.
  3. Proven track record of successfully managing projects within the $2 million to $10 million range.
  4. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  5. In-depth knowledge of site preparation, ground improvement, and excavation/shoring techniques.
  6. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  7. Proficient in project management software and tools.
  8. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites.
