Position Overview: The client is seeking an experienced and motivated Civil Project Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of civil construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, project management skills, and a deep understanding of civil engineering and construction practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning and Coordination:
    • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
    • Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to define project requirements and deliverables.
    • Schedule and conduct regular project meetings to ensure all parties are informed and aligned.
  • Execution and Oversight:
    • Supervise all on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
    • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
    • Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Financial Management:
    • Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and financial targets are met.
    • Approve invoices, change orders, and other financial documents related to the project.
    • Provide regular financial reports and updates to senior management.
  • Quality and Safety Assurance:
    • Implement and enforce quality control procedures and safety protocols on all project sites.
    • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Address and resolve any safety or quality issues promptly and effectively.
  • Client and Stakeholder Relations:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Communicate project status, milestones, and any issues to clients in a clear and professional manner.
    • Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction and trust.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the civil construction industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale civil projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
