Position Overview:They are seeking an experienced
Civil Project Manager to lead and manage projects in Victoria, Vancouver Island. This senior-level role requires a driven individual with 5 to 10 years of experience in civil construction, who can oversee project planning, execution, and delivery while ensuring quality, safety, and budget compliance.
Key Responsibilities: - Manage the planning, scheduling, and execution of civil construction projects, including highways, underground utilities, bridges, and site development.
- Oversee project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful completion.
- Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and ensure project goals are met.
- Lead a team of site supervisors and crew members, providing guidance and support throughout project phases.
- Ensure all projects comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and maintain compliance with specifications and regulations.
- Prepare and present project reports, including financial updates, schedules, and performance metrics.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
Qualifications: - Experience: 5-10 years in civil construction, with a proven track record in managing projects valued between $500K and $5M.
- Education: Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage teams and build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Solid understanding of safety regulations and quality assurance protocols.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
