About the Role:
An established and innovative engineering consultancy is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their Vancouver office. The successful candidate will contribute to the design and development of electrical systems for a range of commercial, institutional, and residential projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful and sustainable building solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design electrical systems for buildings, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and communication systems, ensuring compliance with local codes and industry standards.
• Prepare electrical drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Perform power load calculations, short circuit analysis, and energy efficiency evaluations.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical engineers, architects, and contractors, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Conduct site inspections, review construction progress, and provide technical support during project implementation.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility for registration with EGBC.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical building systems design.
• Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, or other electrical design tools.
• Strong understanding of Canadian Electrical Code and relevant industry standards.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
