Position: Senior Environmental Consultant
Reports to: Client Leader or President 
Location: Oakville, ON 
Compensation: Competitive, based on experience 

Company Overview: 

We are a boutique environmental consulting firm based in Oakville, ON. Our team is composed of highly skilled geoscientists, engineers, and environmental scientists, specializing in environmental and earth sciences. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Consultant to join our growing team.

Role Overview:

As a Senior Environmental Consultant, you will lead and manage a diverse range of projects, focusing on environmental site assessments (including excess soil), geotechnical investigations, and hydrogeological studies. You'll oversee multiple projects, with values ranging from tens of thousands to over $1M, while ensuring high-quality deliverables and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee multi-disciplinary projects, managing on-site resources, teams, and tasks
  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, managing expectations throughout project lifecycles
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
  • Develop detailed scopes of work and proposals tailored to client needs
  • Prepare high-quality, professional reports
  • Mentor and support junior staff and field technicians
  • Stay informed about current and emerging regulations, standards, and industry best practices
  • Represent the company at conferences and events to build the company's reputation and industry presence
Qualifications and Skills: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental or geotechnical engineering
  • P.Eng. or P.Geo. designation is a strong asset
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in environmental consulting
  • In-depth knowledge of Ontario Regulations and Standards
  • Hands-on experience with geotechnical and hydrogeological investigations
  • Proven ability to execute and oversee Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and O.Reg. 153/04 Phase One and Two ESAs
  • Experience with O.Reg. 406/19 Excess Soil Management projects
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and client management skills
  • Strong sense of urgency, client service orientation, and responsiveness
  • Valid driver’s license
