Estimator
Salary: CA$100,000 to CA$140,000 per year
Overview
The Estimator will support the pre construction and estimating team in preparing budgets, cost plans, and competitive bid submissions for projects delivered under Construction Management, General Contracting, and Subtrade models.
Key Responsibilities
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine scope and requirements
• Complete quantity take offs and prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets
• Solicit and evaluate pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
• Assemble and manage bid packages including scope sheets, clarifications, and addenda
• Identify risks, assumptions, exclusions, and cost contingencies
• Coordinate with project teams, consultants, and trade partners to resolve scope gaps
• Support preliminary scheduling, logistics planning, and proposal preparation
• Maintain estimating records, subcontractor pricing history, and lessons learned
• Attend site visits and pre bid meetings as required
Qualifications
• 5+ years experience as an Estimator on medium to large construction projects
• Experience preparing budgets and bid packages for CM, GC, or Subtrade delivery models
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills
• Proficiency with estimating tools and software including Procore
• Ability to manage multiple estimates under tight deadlines
• Strong communication skills and ability to build industry relationships
