Job Title: ICI Construction Estimator
Location: Durham Region, Ontario
Salary: Up to $110,000 per year
Experience Required: Minimum 5 years in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)

About the Company: Our client is a leading general contractor specializing in Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional (ICI) construction projects across the Durham Region and the GTA. With a commitment to excellence and a robust portfolio of successful projects, they are seeking a skilled Estimator to join their dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze project specifications, drawings, and contracts to prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to understand project scopes and requirements.
• Conduct comprehensive quantity take-offs for all labour, equipment, and materials as per project specifications.
• Source and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive rates.
• Develop comprehensive bid proposals, ensuring alignment with bid and tender specifications.
• Attend tender site meetings and assist in the preparation of bid packages for submission.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, material costs, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Estimator within the ICI sector in the GTA.
• Strong understanding of site development, building envelope, and mechanical and electrical systems for ICI facilities.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting project specifications and contract documents.
• Experience with estimating software and tools.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong negotiation skills with a focus on building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
