NOW HIRING: ICI Construction Estimator – Greater Toronto Area
 
Location: Greater Toronto Area (GTA)
Salary: $85,000 - 95,000 + Benefits
 
Experience: 3-5 years (Local GTA Experience Required)
My client, a well-established general contractor specializing in Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional (ICI) construction, is looking to add an experienced Estimator to their team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical and budgeting skills, looking to contribute to high-profile projects over $5M across the GTA.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for ICI construction projects over $5M
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and contracts to determine project scope and requirements
• Source pricing from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive bids
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to refine estimates
• Identify and assess potential project risks and cost-saving opportunities
• Prepare and submit tender documents and proposals in a timely manner
• Stay up to date with local construction costs, market trends, and industry regulations

Qualifications & Skills:

• 3-5 years of local estimating experience in ICI construction within the GTA
• Proven experience working on projects valued at $5M+
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and Ontario Building Code
• Proficiency in estimating software such as Timberline, OST, PlanSwift, or similar tools
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to analyze costs, project scopes, and budgets effectively
• Must reside in Canada and be legally eligible to work
