Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Façade Estimator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in preparing accurate cost estimates for façade packages, ensuring competitive tenders and supporting successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities - Estimating & Tendering:
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for façade works, including materials, labour, and equipment.
- Analyse architectural drawings, specifications, and project documentation to define scope and requirements.
- Lead the preparation and submission of competitive bids, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Supplier & Subcontractor Coordination:
- Source and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors for façade-specific materials and services.
- Negotiate favourable terms and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Technical Expertise:
- Assess façade systems (e.g., curtain walls, cladding, glazing, rainscreens) and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, building codes, and project performance requirements.
- Value Engineering:
- Propose alternative materials or construction methods to optimize cost efficiency without compromising quality.
- Collaboration & Reporting:
- Work closely with project managers, design teams, and procurement departments to align estimates with project objectives.
- Provide detailed breakdowns of estimates and maintain accurate records for internal reference.
Requirements - Proven experience as an Estimator, preferably in the façade industry.
- Strong knowledge of façade materials, systems, and installation techniques.
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings, technical specifications, and tender documents.
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
