Estimator – High End Carpentry & Joinery Contractor– Hertfordshire
About the Client: Our client is a multi-award-winning bespoke joinery fit-out and manufacturing specialist based in Hertfordshire. Delivering results to both commercial and private clients, they’re responsible for designing, manufacturing and installing some of the most intricate, detailed and prestigious joinery in the South-East.

About the Role: They’re looking for a skilled professional, with an astute commercial mind and a high attention to detail that wants to grow and develop with the company. The right candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of carpentry and joinery and have detailed experience within the industry. You will be able to fulfil Estimating and Commercial duties on projects ranging in size from £500k to £5m.

Details: The role will be based primarily at Head Office; however, the opportunity to work from home for some of the time can be discussed.

About the Responsibilities:
- Working from tender packs and design drawings, fully understanding the specification and timescales of a job.
- Ensuring all materials and finishes detailed in the specification are identified correctly.
- Sourcing specialist suppliers for any non-stock materials or products.
- Entering all material and labour requirements to produce estimate - software specific training will be given.
- Liaising with Project Manager/CAD Technician once a project order is received.
Key skills:
- Experience in woodworking / joinery / manufacturing
- Computer literate –Office/Excel/Outlook
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
- Good attention to detail
- Team focused
About the Qualifications
- A levels / Higher education
- RICS qualification, or working towards
- CSCS
