Job Title: Finance Manager

About the Role Our client, a dynamic and growing organization in Vancouver, is seeking a talented Finance Manager to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and manage financial operations while contributing to the company’s continued success. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial management, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and experience working in a construction or related industry.
Key Responsibilities - Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute strategic financial plans.
- Manage cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll operations.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Provide insights and recommendations to support data-driven decision-making.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders as required.
- Mentor and develop finance team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
Qualifications - CPA designation or equivalent; strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management or a related role.
- Proven track record in the construction industry is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities, with a hands-on approach.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
