Job Summary: As a Foreman with our client, you will play a pivotal role in leading and coordinating Commercial & Institutional construction projects. This position demands strong leadership, technical skills, and a keen eye for detail. The Foreman is responsible for supervising and guiding on-site construction teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Leadership and Team Management:
    • Lead, motivate, and supervise on-site construction crews, subcontractors, and laborers.
    • Foster a collaborative and safe working environment, ensuring the team adheres to company policies and safety protocols.
    • Delegate tasks, set clear expectations, and provide guidance to ensure high productivity and quality work.
  2. Project Execution:
    • Oversee and coordinate daily activities to meet project schedules and objectives.
    • Interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure work is executed in accordance with project requirements.
    • Implement and enforce quality control procedures to maintain work standards.
  3. Safety and Compliance:
    • Promote a culture of safety by adhering to and enforcing all safety regulations and protocols.
    • Conduct regular safety meetings, identify potential hazards, and ensure safety compliance on the site.
    • Ensure that all workers have appropriate safety training and equipment.
  4. Resource Management:
    • Manage the efficient use of resources, including labor, equipment, and materials.
    • Monitor and report on resource requirements and work with Project Managers to ensure timely procurement.
    • Maintain equipment and report any issues to the maintenance department.
  5. Communication:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact between the project team and subcontractors.
    • Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions to Project Managers and superiors.
    • Maintain accurate daily records and documentation of site activities.
  6. Problem-Solving:
    • Identify and resolve on-site issues promptly, including design changes, project delays, and unexpected site conditions.
    • Collaborate with the project team to develop solutions that keep the project on track.
  7. Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure that work meets quality and performance standards as per project requirements.
    • Inspect work at various stages and coordinate necessary corrections.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or technical training is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Foreman in commercial/institutional construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and tools.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and construction plans.
  • Familiarity with construction software and project management tools (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid) is advantageous.
  • Understanding of safety regulations and best practices in construction.
  • Valid driver's license.
