Foreman/Site Manager – Civil Construction (Vancouver, BC)
Our client, a reputable civil construction company based in Vancouver, BC, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Foreman/Site Manager to oversee and manage on-site operations for their civil construction projects.
 
The ideal candidate will ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Oversight: Plan, organize, lead, and evaluate construction projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Team Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring efficient workflow and quality workmanship.
  • Scheduling: Develop, maintain, and drive the construction schedule alongside the project team to meet project milestones and completion dates.
  • Quality Control: Ensure construction meets approved design specifications, drawings, and applicable codes, maintaining high standards of quality throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols on-site to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Resource Management: Coordinate the procurement and delivery of materials, tools, and equipment necessary for project execution.
  • Communication: Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and address any issues that arise during construction.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, progress reports, and any changes to project plans.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Foreman or Site Manager in the civil construction industry, with a strong understanding of construction processes and best practices.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage construction teams effectively, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficient in reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications, with a solid understanding of building codes and regulations.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in construction management or a related field are an asset.
