Salary: $120K+ (experience dependent)

Our client, a leading heavy civil construction contractor specializing in earthworks, underground utilities, and land development, is seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Superintendent to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing large-scale civil infrastructure projects, a proven track record of leading teams, and a commitment to safety and quality excellence.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Site Leadership: Oversee day-to-day site operations to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and meet or exceed quality standards.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and supervise field crews and subcontractors, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
  • Safety First: Ensure all activities comply with safety standards and company protocols, conducting regular inspections and promoting a safety-focused mindset.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact on-site for clients, inspectors, and other project stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress and addressing concerns.
  • Resource Management: Coordinate equipment, labor, and materials to optimize site productivity and minimize delays.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and mitigate potential issues or challenges, ensuring smooth project execution.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including daily logs, progress reports, and as-built drawings.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in heavy civil construction, including significant experience in earthworks and underground utilities.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage teams and subcontractors effectively.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction practices, equipment, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
