My client who is a leading civil construction contractor is seeking an experienced and dedicated HR Manager to join their dynamic team. The HR Manager will play a critical role in managing all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance. This position offers the opportunity to shape the HR function, promote a positive work environment, and contribute to the growth and success of the company.

Key Responsibilities:
 
 
                 Recruitment and Staffing:
    • Develop and execute effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
    • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job posting, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
    • Maintain relationships with recruitment agencies and job boards.

      Employee Relations:
    • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
    • Address employee concerns, grievances, and conflicts in a fair and timely manner.
    • Promote employee engagement and morale through various initiatives.

      Performance Management:
    • Implement performance appraisal systems and provide guidance to managers and employees.
    • Identify and facilitate training and development opportunities for employees.
    • Work with managers to establish performance improvement plans when necessary.

      Benefits Administration:
    • Administer employee benefits programs
    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations regarding employee benefits.
    • Address employee inquiries related to benefits.

      Compliance and Policies:
    • Stay current with labor laws and regulations, and update company policies and procedures as needed.
    • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Conduct HR audits to assess and maintain compliance.

      HR Reporting and Record Keeping:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases.
    • Generate HR reports for management as needed.
    • Prepare and submit required government reports and filings.

      Training and Development:
    • Identify training needs and coordinate training programs.
    • Support the development of employees through mentoring and coaching.
    • Assist in succession planning and career development initiatives.

      Safety and Wellness:
    • Collaborate with safety teams to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
    • Promote wellness initiatives and programs for employees.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree or HR certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role, preferably in the construction or utility industry.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
