My client who is a leading civil construction contractor is seeking an experienced and dedicated HR Manager to join their dynamic team. The HR Manager will play a critical role in managing all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Recruitment and Staffing: - Develop and execute effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job posting, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Maintain relationships with recruitment agencies and job boards.
Employee Relations:
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Address employee concerns, grievances, and conflicts in a fair and timely manner.
- Promote employee engagement and morale through various initiatives.
Performance Management:
- Implement performance appraisal systems and provide guidance to managers and employees.
- Identify and facilitate training and development opportunities for employees.
- Work with managers to establish performance improvement plans when necessary.
Benefits Administration:
- Administer employee benefits programs
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations regarding employee benefits.
- Address employee inquiries related to benefits.
Compliance and Policies:
- Stay current with labor laws and regulations, and update company policies and procedures as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Conduct HR audits to assess and maintain compliance.
HR Reporting and Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases.
- Generate HR reports for management as needed.
- Prepare and submit required government reports and filings.
Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and coordinate training programs.
- Support the development of employees through mentoring and coaching.
- Assist in succession planning and career development initiatives.
Safety and Wellness:
- Collaborate with safety teams to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Promote wellness initiatives and programs for employees.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree or HR certification is a plus.
- Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role, preferably in the construction or utility industry.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
