Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 per year

Our client is a small but growing civil construction company based in Delta, BC. Their team is small, collaborative, and driven to succeed. They are looking for a motivated and ambitious Junior Bookkeeper/Office Manager to join their team and help streamline operations as they expand.

Job Overview:
As a Junior Bookkeeper/Office Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial and administrative tasks of the business. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth office operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing excellent customer service. This is a dynamic role with room for growth and progression within the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform bookkeeping tasks, including managing accounts payable/receivable, recording invoices, and reconciling accounts.
  • Utilize QuickBooks to manage and track all financial transactions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry of financial information and assist in transitioning all records online for streamlined reporting to the accountant.
  • Answer phone calls, manage correspondence, and respond to client inquiries professionally.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and maintaining positive relationships.
  • Maintain office organization and assist with administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Work independently, managing your workload efficiently within a small, tight-knit team.
Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of experience in bookkeeping or related roles.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software; strong computer skills and tech-savviness.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Outgoing, ambitious, and driven personality with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision.
