SSA are recruiting a Junior Health & Safety Officer on behalf of a Main  Contractor, to work across multiple sites in Galway. This is a permanent position.

Our client is a respected Main Contractor who is highly renowned within the Construction and Industrial Services Sector. They have a vast array of ongoing and completed projects in construction, refurbishment, and maintenance throughout Galway. 

About the role:

• Galway Based position

Your main duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Risk Assessments: Identify workplace hazards through risk assessments.
• Compliance Monitoring: Ensure the organisation complies with health and safety regulations.
• Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents and recommend preventive actions.
• Safety Training: Assist in employee safety training programs.
• Safety Inspections: Conduct regular workplace safety inspections.
• Safety Policies: Assist in creating and updating safety policies.
• Records Keeping: Maintain safety records and documentation.
