About the Role:

An established and dynamic engineering consultancy is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their Vancouver office. The ideal candidate will have experience in building systems design and a passion for delivering high-quality, sustainable solutions for a variety of commercial, institutional, industrial and residential projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, ensuring compliance with local codes and industry standards.
• Perform load calculations, energy modeling, and system analysis to optimize building performance.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, structural engineers, and electrical engineers, to deliver integrated design solutions.
• Conduct site inspections, review installations, and provide technical support during construction.
• Collaborate with clients to understand project needs and provide innovative engineering solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility for registration with EGBC.
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical building systems design.
• Proficiency in relevant software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, HAP, or other HVAC design tools.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian building codes and ASHRAE standards.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
