SSA are working with an Irish Building Services Contractor seeking an experienced Mechanical HVAC Engineer for a hotel project in the Cayman Islands.

Our client is a multidisciplinary building services contractor, with an office network covering Ireland, the UK and the Caribbean. The firm’s expertise covers the entire range of building services engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
- Providing site support to the management team
- Represent the company in design team meetings
- Managing programming of works in conjunction with the Contracts Manager
- Reviewing & value engineering full design specifications
- Co-ordination of mechanical services
- Procurement of plant for projects
- Liaise with the draughting team for development of project BIM model
- Reviewing & managing red line drawings for as installed drawing
- Extracting information from drawing revisions for pricing
- Maintaining project submittals, procurement & RFI schedules
- Tracking of project budgets in conjunction with the QS department
- Prepare comprehensive O&M manuals
- Assist in the BCAR certification process
- Assist in the preparation of risk assessments, method statements and monitor all aspects of Health and Safety on site

Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
- 3+ years Engineering Construction experience
- Mechanical HVAC and BMS project experience
- Ideally previous experience in major Hotel projects
