Our client, a leading civil construction contractor specializing in industrial projects, is seeking a
Project Manager to oversee and drive the successful execution of large-scale infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to lead multidisciplinary teams and contribute to high-profile industrial developments across Western Canada.
Key Responsibilities: - Plan, coordinate, and execute civil construction projects in the industrial sector, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Lead project teams, including engineers, subcontractors, and site personnel, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and risk management strategies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
- Oversee contract administration, procurement, and cost control processes.
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as needed to mitigate risks and delays.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Provide leadership in resolving technical and logistical challenges on-site.
- Prepare and present project reports, updates, and documentation to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in project management within the civil construction industry, preferably in industrial projects.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale earthworks, utilities, and concrete infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Primavera P6) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
