Quantity Surveyor – Leading Drylining sub-contractor About my client: My client is a Drylining specialist, taking on both residential and commercial projects in and around the South East of England.

About the role: They have an opportunity available at Quantity Surveyor level to join their commercial team.
Responsibilities: - Attend formal handover meetings between pre & post contract teams.
- Maintain an awareness of key responsibilities and obligations of subcontracts and an understanding of the work scopes to advise site teams
- Assist in the thorough interrogation of tenders and the preparation of detailed tender summaries.
- Regularly and accurately monitor comprehensive preliminaries budgets and targets (relative to the tender summary)
- Assist in establishing, setting, monitoring & paying against comprehensive labour and materials budgets and targets on the Cost Management Tool system.
- Assist in the early preparation of quantified material/component schedules for both ordering/loading purposes and also to enable the negotiation of optimum rates.
- Assist in the comprehensive management of the Project Variation Account, maintaining a ‘rolling’ final account where all variations are identified, acknowledged, valued and recorded.
- Assist in the timely and accurate monitoring, updating, receiving and forecasting and reporting of project cash flow (income & expenditure).
- Preparation for and attendance at Job Progress Report /Cost Value Reconciliation review meetings
About You: - Degree qualified (or working towards) in quantity surveying/other relevant business discipline. They can support in completing a degree apprenticeship in Quantity Surveying.
- Previous quantity surveying experience.
- Proven trade contractor experience, preferably drylining.
- Strong interpersonal skills
