Job Title: Remote Civil Superintendent Location: Remote, must reside in British Columbia Rotation: Rotational schedule (e.g.,10/4, 14/7, 21/7, or as required) January Start Salary: Competitive, based on experience Job Summary: My client is seeking an experienced Civil Superintendent to oversee civil construction activities on a remote project in British Columbia. This role is rotational and requires the ability to manage all site activities, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are met. (Highway project) Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all on-site civil construction activities
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
Supervise and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain workflow and productivity.
Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project plans.
Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with project scope, codes, and regulations.
Prepare daily reports on progress, challenges, and resource requirements.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve site challenges.
Monitor and manage equipment, materials, and workforce to meet project demands.
Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and the local community.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Civil Superintendent in heavy civil construction, preferably in remote or rotational settings.
Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, standards, and safety protocols.
Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
Familiarity with BC construction codes, regulations, and permitting requirements.
Experience in remote or rotational work environments is a strong asset.
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Additional Requirements:
Must reside in British Columbia and be eligible to work in Canada.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to work extended hours and travel to remote sites as required.
