Rotation: Rotational schedule (e.g.,10/4, 14/7, 21/7, or as required)

Job Summary:
My client is seeking an experienced Civil Superintendent to oversee civil construction activities on a remote project in British Columbia. This role is rotational and requires the ability to manage all site activities, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are met. (Highway project)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all on-site civil construction activities
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Supervise and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain workflow and productivity.
  • Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project plans.
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with project scope, codes, and regulations.
  • Prepare daily reports on progress, challenges, and resource requirements.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve site challenges.
  • Monitor and manage equipment, materials, and workforce to meet project demands.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and the local community.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Civil Superintendent in heavy civil construction, preferably in remote or rotational settings.
  • Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, standards, and safety protocols.
  • Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
  • Familiarity with BC construction codes, regulations, and permitting requirements.
  • Experience in remote or rotational work environments is a strong asset.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Additional Requirements:
  • Must reside in British Columbia and be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work extended hours and travel to remote sites as required.
  • Physically fit to work in challenging environments and climates.
