SENIOR ANALYST – BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Vice-President of Finance, the Senior Analyst will be responsible for the collection and analysis of
financial data while supporting multiple real estate/development projects in the residential, rental and commercial
spaces as well as the day-to-day property management of assets.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Creating, developing, and maintaining detailed financial models, ensuring all data is an accurate reflection of all
financial agreements, sales contracts, and lease agreements,
• Preparing financial proformas, budgets, and forecasts,
• Maintaining financial forecasts for real estate projects including multi-residential, retail and commercial assets,
• Performing variance analysis to identify any risks/challenges for senior management,
• Conducting financial analysis to prepare scenarios for senior management on overall development performance
and opportunities,
• Collaborating with and supporting development project teams, tracking & monitoring financial data,
• Monitoring new trends in the industry and analyzing current market data,
• Assisting with lease preparation, renewals, and execution with senior management,
• Assisting with property maintenance duties as required,
• Maintaining the global rent roll and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
REQUIREMENTS
• Degree in Business Admin, Economics, Finance/Accounting or Real Estate,
• CFA, AACI, MBA candidate an asset,
• 2-5 years of related, progressive experience, preferably in the Real Estate Development industry with exposure
to multi-residential and commercial projects,
• A thorough knowledge of the real estate development and entitlement process,
• A strong knowledge of financial concepts, cash flow modeling, and project finance for real estate,
• Tech savvy with advanced excel proficiency,
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills,
• Highly driven, committed, and able to meet challenging deadlines.
