Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will:
  • Lead the planning, design, and execution of large-scale civil engineering projects, including transportation, land development, and municipal infrastructure.
  • Oversee all aspects of project delivery, including feasibility studies, detailed design, cost estimation, and construction administration.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on complex design challenges.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure successful project execution.
  • Prepare and review engineering drawings, reports, proposals, and specifications.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff.
  • Identify and pursue business development opportunities to grow the client base and secure new projects.
  • Stay current with industry advancements, codes, and standards to ensure innovative and compliant solutions.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in British Columbia.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering, with a strong background in consulting.
  • Proven expertise in infrastructure design, project management, and construction oversight.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of British Columbia codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage teams and mentor staff.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for client engagement and stakeholder coordination.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to identify and drive business development opportunities.
  • A valid driver’s license and availability to travel to project sites when necessary.
