Key Responsibilities As the Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will:
- Lead geotechnical projects from initiation to completion, including investigation, analysis, design, and reporting.
- Plan and oversee site investigations, soil sampling, laboratory testing, and technical assessments.
- Design foundations, retaining walls, slope stabilization systems, and other geotechnical structures.
- Develop and review technical reports, specifications, and client deliverables.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and team members.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated and innovative solutions.
- Ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
- Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for future work.
About You To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in British Columbia or eligibility to obtain it.
- 8-10+ years of geotechnical engineering experience, ideally in a consulting environment.
- Expertise in geotechnical investigation, analysis, and design, including foundations, earthworks, and ground improvement.
- Proficiency in industry-standard geotechnical software (e.g., GeoStudio, PLAXIS, Settle3).
- A strong understanding of relevant codes, standards, and regulations in British Columbia.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects and mentoring teams.
- A valid driver’s license and availability to travel to project sites when required
