About the role: They are looking for a skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our demolition projects, from pre-construction through to completion. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

About the responsibilities:
  • Cost Management: Prepare, monitor, and control project budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting of costs.
  • Tendering and Contracts: Lead the preparation of tender documents, conduct evaluations, and negotiate contracts with clients and subcontractors.
  • Measurement and Valuation: Conduct site measurements and prepare accurate valuations of work completed, including variations and claims.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate financial impacts throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Client Liaison: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring effective communication regarding project progress and financial status.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors, providing guidance on best practices in quantity surveying and contract management.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
About the requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Membership with a professional body (e.g., RICS) is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with significant experience in the demolition or construction industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in using quantity surveying software and tools, along with strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
