Job Overview They are seeking a dedicated Quantity Surveyor with specific expertise in drylining to join our dynamic team. This role involves managing all cost-related aspects of drylining projects, ensuring financial efficiency, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cost Management:
    • Prepare, monitor, and control budgets for drylining packages throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Conduct accurate valuations and cost reporting to ensure project profitability.
  • Tendering & Procurement:
    • Prepare and review tender documents, assess subcontractor bids, and recommend the best value options.
    • Negotiate contracts and manage supplier agreements related to drylining works.
  • Value Engineering:
    • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
    • Provide expert advice on material and method selections for optimal cost efficiency.
  • Contract Administration:
    • Manage all contractual correspondence, variations, and claims related to drylining works.
    • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Work closely with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure seamless execution of drylining packages.
    • Maintain excellent client relationships by providing regular updates and addressing any concerns.
Requirements
  • A degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • years of experience in quantity surveying, specifically within the drylining sector.
  • Strong knowledge of drylining materials, techniques, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in cost management tools and software, such as CostX or similar platforms.
  • Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
