Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Façade Quantity Surveyor to manage the financial aspects of façade packages, from initial estimates to final accounts. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in façade materials, systems, and industry standards, ensuring cost efficiency while upholding the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities - Cost Management:
- Prepare, manage, and monitor budgets for façade works across multiple projects.
- Conduct detailed valuations, cost reporting, and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Tendering & Procurement:
- Produce tender documentation and analyse bids for façade-specific subcontractors and suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts, ensuring alignment with project goals and budgets.
- Contract Administration:
- Manage variations, claims, and final accounts for façade works.
- Ensure contractual obligations and compliance with industry regulations are met.
- Value Engineering:
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose alternative materials or methodologies while maintaining quality.
- Technical Expertise:
- Assess façade specifications and ensure alignment with design intent, project standards, and performance requirements.
- Stay informed about industry trends, materials, and technologies to enhance project outcomes.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with project managers, design teams, and site personnel to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing updates and addressing any cost-related concerns.
Requirements - A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in façade quantity surveying, with a strong understanding of façade systems and materials (e.g., curtain walls, cladding, glazing, etc.).
- Proficiency in quantity surveying tools and software, such as CostX or similar platforms.
- Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
