Job Overview: As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of façade projects from inception to completion. You will oversee cost control, budgeting, and contractual matters, ensuring projects are delivered within scope, on time, and within budget. Your expertise will contribute to the successful delivery of high-profile projects, maintaining our reputation for excellence in the industry.
Key Responsibilities: - Cost Management: Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates, budgets, and cash flows for façade projects. Monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycle to ensure financial targets are met.
- Contract Administration: Administer contracts, including preparation of tender documentation, negotiation with subcontractors, and managing variations and claims.
- Procurement: Oversee procurement processes, including selecting and managing subcontractors and suppliers. Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to meet project schedules.
- Value Engineering: Provide cost-effective solutions and alternatives without compromising on quality. Identify and manage opportunities for value engineering and cost savings.
- Risk Management: Assess and manage project risks, including financial, contractual, and operational risks. Develop strategies to mitigate potential issues and ensure project stability.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular financial reports, including cost forecasts, progress reports, and final accounts. Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and stakeholders.
- Compliance: Ensure all work complies with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies. Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
Qualifications and Experience: - Education: Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Professional qualifications such as MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) are highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a proven track record in façade contracting or similar sectors. Experience in managing large-scale projects is essential.
- Skills: Strong analytical and numerical skills, with excellent attention to detail. Proficient in contract law, procurement practices, and cost management. Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
- Software: Proficiency in industry-standard software such as CostX, BIM, and Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with project management software is advantageous.
