SSA Group is seeking a senior safety coordinator to join our client's team for a multi-site role in regional NSW. Our client is a leading civil construction contractor. We are seeking a skilled safety professional to join their team on a generation-defining infrastructure project in regional NSW.

• To guarantee adherence to the safety and environmental components of the IMS, standards, laws, and guidelines, the project team will get help, counsel, and direction from the Safety (HSE) Coordinator.
• A very proactive safety coordinator would be ideal for the position.
• The ideal candidate will have abilities and prior project experience in excavation, FRP, scaffolding, working at heights, cranes, and subsurface services, as these are the main tasks performed on site

What you need to be a successful candidate:

• 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Civil construction experience is essential
• Water treatment plant/sewerage treatment plant highly regarded
• Previous project experience involving excavation, FRP, scaffolding, working at heights, cranes, and underground services
• Tertiary qualifications in WH&S
• A commitment to and passion for safety, environment and quality at work with the ability to promote this to all employees – management, trades personnel and ancillary staff
• Strong understanding of NSW standards, legislation and guidelines relating to HSE
• Competent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong computer and admin skills
