My client is seeking an experienced
Site Superintendent to oversee the day-to-day operations of commercial construction sites from mobilization to project closeout.
In this role, you’ll be the on-site leader responsible for ensuring safety, quality, and productivity are upheld throughout every stage of the build. You’ll work closely with the Project Manager, subcontractors, consultants, and clients to deliver projects on time and on budget—while maintaining high standards and strong site culture.

Responsibilities - Oversee daily on-site construction activities and ensure all work aligns with plans, specifications, and safety protocols.
- Lead and coordinate subcontractors and trades to ensure efficient workflow and task completion.
- Maintain the construction schedule, track progress, and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.
- Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce all health and safety requirements in accordance with the OHSA and company policy.
- Proactively identify and resolve site issues, delays, and quality concerns.
- Ensure all inspections are scheduled and passed, including city inspections and third-party quality checks.
- Maintain and manage site documentation including logs, reports, and daily diaries.
- Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and internal teams to maintain alignment and address concerns.
- Assist with project closeout, including final inspections and deficiency management.
Qualifications & Skills - Minimum 5 years of experience as a Site Superintendent on commercial construction projects.
- Deep knowledge of commercial construction methods, safety regulations, and building codes.
- Proven leadership abilities with strong communication and team coordination skills.
- Ability to interpret drawings and specifications and resolve technical or on-site challenges.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and site cleanliness.
- Proficient in site documentation, reporting, and schedule tracking.
- Valid health & safety certifications (e.g., Working at Heights, WHMIS, First Aid).
- Strong understanding of local building regulations and permit processes.
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction management tools is an asset.
