Job Title: ICI Construction Site Superintendent
Location: Greater Toronto Area
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our client is seeking a Construction Site Superintendent who has experience with ICI Construction Projects (Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional) to join their team in the GTA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing construction projects for industrial, commercial, and institutional sectors, specifically in the Greater Toronto Area. This role requires a proven track record of successfully overseeing projects with a general contractor.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety standards.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, laborers, and other site personnel.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor quality control, resolve any issues, and maintain site safety protocols.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to align on project specifications and timelines.
- Review and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Ensure effective communication between all parties involved in the project, addressing concerns promptly.
- Conduct regular progress meetings with subcontractors and report to senior management.
- Prepare daily and weekly reports on project progress, schedule, and any issues encountered.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment on-site.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Site Superintendent in the ICI construction sector.
- Must have local experience in the Greater Toronto Area working with a general contractor on ICI projects.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, standards, and regulations in Ontario.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately.
- Exceptional communication skills to interact with a variety of stakeholders.
- Knowledge of site safety regulations and best practices, with a strong safety record.
