Dubai-based real estate developer DAMAC Properties has awarded a contract worth approximately $54.45 million (AED200 million) to Commodore Contracting Co. LLC for the main works of their Merano Tower project.
Following the completion of the substructure works at Merano Tower, located in Business Bay, the contract covers the project’s main works package. Currently at the site, excavation works are in progress up to the raft level and the building’s de-watering system is connected.
Mohammed Tahaineh, Senior Vice President – Commercial, said: “We are pleased with the contractors we have appointed and which represent a significant portion of the construction of Merano Tower, where we continue to make steady progress. The 29-storey residential tower is expected to be completed in 2019. The building will features urban architecture and design and amenities such as a swimming pool, a gymnasium and ample parking space.
Merano Tower includes a basement level, ground floor and three podiums with 26 floors of residential apartments varying from studios, to one, two, and three-bedrooms, with units starting at $156,552 (AED575,000).
