Lendlease has appointed a new executive general manager for its construction business in London.
Claire Pettett, who has over 11 years of experience within the company, will take on the role from the end of this month.
She is promoted to her new role from the position of head of finance for the construction business and replaces Alan Bates, who has taken on a new role within Lendlease’s Italian business, where he is programme director.
Pettett will play a vital role in developing Lendlease’s pipeline of construction work within the capital.
She said: “My job will be to help us continue to build our business within London on the very strong foundations that have been put in place.
“I have a real passion for developing talent, and as a woman working in what is regarded as a male-dominated industry, I hope my progression can play a role in inspiring other women to consider a career in construction.”
Neil Martin, COO for Lendlease Europe, said: “Claire brings a huge amount of knowledge and experience of different aspects of our business to her new role.
“I know that she will make a significant contribution to the team at a really exciting time to be focussed on our projects in London.”
