Vast opportunities for two companies given the size and scale of rail projects in the kingdom
Unipart Rail, a supplier to the global rail industry, and Arabian Railway Company, a Saudi Arabia-based services company, are set to form a joint venture focused on the kingdom.
A memorandum of understanding was signed between the two companies at the recently concluded Middle East Rail 2017 in Dubai and attended by UK Rail Minister Paul Maynard, according to a press communication from Arabian Railway Company.
“The next 10 years will witness unparalleled reform of transport within the Middle East,” commented Noel Travers, deputy managing director, Unipart Rail.
He foresees good opportunities for the two companies given the size and scale of railway development projects across the kingdom.
Khalid Al-Jumaid, CEO President Arabian Railway Company, welcomed the cooperation and said he looked forward to working closely with Unipart Rail to manage the challenges of the supply chain given the latter’s good track record and experience.
